8 May 2013Catalyst Arts Fund

Locus+ are proud to announce that in partnership with Great North Run Culture, we have been successful in our application to Arts Council England's Catalyst Arts: building fundraising capacity scheme.

Interest in the scheme was particularly high with the Arts Council receiving over 164 applications. The scheme was open to organisations working in a consortium to develop fundraising skills. There are 62 successful applicants benefitting 217 organisations.

Alison Clark-Jenkins, Regional Director, Arts Council England said:

"Locus+ and Great North Run Culture will be using the Arts Council's Catalyst investment to attract income from new external partners and funders, along with exploring sources of potential investment which are unique to each organisation. The Arts Council's Catalyst scheme is aimed at fostering the innovation and collaboration needed in the arts sector to safeguard its future - this partnership will go a long way to helping two north east-based visual arts organisations to achieve this."
