Christiane Löhr
Exhibtion

Gunby Estate, Hall and Gardens
Spilsby, Lincolnshire, PE23 5SS

This Summer, German artist Christiane Löhr will create the first contemporary art exhibition for Gunby Estate, Hall and Gardens.

Christiane's work evolves through her direct contact with nature and it is here that she finds materials such as plant stalks, dandelion or ivy seeds, which are used to construct tiny sculptures reminiscent of everyday objects or architecture. Materials will be collected from across the Gunby estate and gardens and the pieces then created in a temporary on-site studio.

Christiane's exhibition of intricate sculptures will be officially opened in the Orchard Gallery, in the Gunby Gardens on 29th June. The exhibition will then be open every day 11am-4pm from 30th June to 4th September 2016.

This exhibition has been developed in partnership with Locus+ and the National Trust, North Lincolnshire. It is funded by Arts Council England as part of Trust New Art, a project which aims to coonect more people to the places the National Trust look after through contemporary art.

This is the second time we have had the privilege of working with Christiane after hosting a residency and exhibition in 2003. Please click here for more information.
