A commissioned video work based on the 1982 BBC TV recording of Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem conducted by Claudio Abbado. A circle of 21 inverted monitors simultaneously relayed the 21 individual movements from the opera, creating a cacophony of screaming voices like tortured souls in Dante’s purgatory.
